Pharmacy Student Programme

We offer summer vacancies for pharmacy students across much of our geography,
giving you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy community
pharmacy environment.

What you can expect

• Experience working in both the dispensary and on the healthcare counter
• Exposure to multiple pharmacies within an agreed area
• The chance to build practical skills alongside your university studies
• Ongoing opportunities beyond summer, including weekend work and potential progression to a foundation trainee pharmacist role

You will be based in one pharmacy but may support other nearby branches,
giving you a broad and varied experience.

Your development

This is your experience, so we encourage you to take initiative, seek out
learning opportunities, and build the competencies you feel you need.

Your pharmacist will support you throughout, and we also ask that you let us
know how we can help you get the most out of your time with us.

What we’re looking for

• Pharmacy students with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Previous community pharmacy experience is desirable, but not essential
• Ability to travel between branches (own transport required)
