Support Pharmacist Manager – Tayside, Perthshire and Forth Valley

Role: Pharmacist
Location: Dundee and surrounding area Forth Valley Perth and surrounding areas
Type: Full Time Part Time
Contract: Permanent

Variety, new experiences and the chance to make an impact across multiple pharmacies.

We know you’ll spend a huge part of your life at work. We think you should enjoy where you do it.

That’s why we’ve built a business that supports pharmacists to lead, develop clinically and make a genuine difference. At Davidsons Chemists, community pharmacy is about far more than dispensing prescriptions. It’s about supporting patients, leading teams and providing healthcare that people genuinely value.

We’re looking for a GPhC Registered Support Pharmacist Manager to work across our pharmacies in Tayside, Perthshire and Forth Valley, providing cover for planned days off, annual leave and other branch requirements.

Your working days and branches will be coordinated by our Support Pharmacist Coordinator, giving you a planned rota while still enjoying the variety that comes from working across different pharmacies, teams and communities.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working with different teams, adapting to different pharmacy environments and bringing confident leadership wherever they are needed.

Please note: This role is only open to pharmacists registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Applications from candidates who are not GPhC registered or eligible for registration cannot be considered.

Why Davidsons?

We’re Scotland’s largest independent pharmacy group, with 58 pharmacies across eight Health Boards, but we’ve never lost the values that made us who we are.

We’re proud to be a Royal Warrant holder, but what we’re even prouder of is the culture we’ve built. We believe pharmacists should be trusted professionals with the autonomy to make decisions, the support to develop their careers and the opportunity to make a real difference every day.

What you’ll be walking into

  • A varied role working across a range of Davidsons pharmacies.
  • The opportunity to work with different teams and patient communities.
  • Responsibility for providing pharmacist and management cover where it is needed.
  • The opportunity to support branches during annual leave, planned days off and other periods of cover.
  • A role where no two weeks are quite the same.
  • Support from an experienced Operations Team and wider pharmacist network.
  • A business that values your ideas and gives you the opportunity to make them happen.
  • A company where your voice matters and your contribution is recognised.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Cares about patients and puts them at the centre of everything they do.
  • Is confident stepping into different branches and quickly becoming part of the team.
  • Enjoys variety and working across different pharmacy environments.
  • Is comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions.
  • Can lead, motivate and support pharmacy teams.
  • Takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality pharmacy services.
  • Is organised, adaptable and comfortable travelling between branches.

Whether you’re already an experienced Pharmacy Manager, currently working in a relief or support role, or looking for a position that offers more variety than a fixed branch, we’d love to hear from you.
