Foundation Trainee Pharmacist

Joining Davidsons Foundation training programme, could be the chance to start a career with an organisation that strives for excellence in pharmaceutical care for all patients within our community. Working alongside our experienced and passionate supervisors, will provide you with support, stimulation and hands-on experience to enable you to develop the skills needed to become a community pharmacist of the future.

We are looking for hard-working individuals who would like to join our team. Currently, we are offering two places within Tayside on the NES modular programme – providing you with an opportunity to spend six months in the community with ourselves and the remaining six months exploring various other sectors of pharmacy.

In addition to these places, we also offer a further twenty conventional 12-month Foundation trainee places within our branches across Scotland.

We are the largest independent pharmacy chain and many of our pharmacies are in local communities. This we believe ensures that your training is patient centred and develop you as the community pharmacist we all want you to be.

Throughout the training year, you will follow a structured training programme and will be offered support from your colleagues. Davidsons participate in the NES Foundation Trainee Pharmacist Scheme (FTY) and offer the support to enable you to attend its nationally organised events, reinforcing these learning events with experience and development within our dynamic branches. Our wide-ranging training programme has been created to support you in completing your registration and to prepare you for taking in the role of the pharmacist.

We want you to be part of Davidsons future – we recruit a number of our newly qualified foundation trainee pharmacists each year and have regular opportunities within our pharmacies. Joining us as a newly qualified pharmacist, you will reap the benefits of an attractive employment package and opportunity for a rewarding career.
